The American biographical drama film is directed by Clint Eastwood and is based on 1997 ‘Vanity Fair’ article ‘American Nightmare: The Ballad of Richard Jewell’ and Marie Brenner’s 2019 book ‘The Suspect: An Olympic Bombing, the FBI, the Media, and Richard Jewell, the Man Caught in the Middle by Kent Alexander and Kevin Salwen’. The movie features Paul Walter Hauser, Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm, and Olivia Wilde.
Richard Jewell risks his own life saving the lives of may during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta when he finds a backpack with explosives in Centennial Park. But his life takes a huge turn when the FBI finds him as a major suspect in the bombing case.
