The biographical film is directed by Mike Jackson and is based on Deborah Lipstadt’s 2005 book ‘History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier’. The movie features Rachel Weisz, Tom Wilkinson, Timothy Spall, Andrew Scott, Jack Lowden, Caren Pistorius, and Alex Jennings.
Deborah Lipstadt along with Penguin books published ‘Denying the Holocaust’ a book on the holocaust perpetrated by Nazi Germany. A few years later an English author David Irving sued her libel on grounds of deliberately distorting the facts in her book. She fights a long case of justice and goes on to prove her research and claims to be true.
