Evelyn Carnahan, an English librarian, is involved in launching an archaeological dig at the ancient town of Hamunaptra. After saving him from his death, she gets the help of Rick O’Connell. What Evelyn, her brother Jonathan, and Rick are unaware of is that the same dig is of interest to another party of explorers. This party, unfortunately for everyone, ends up unleashing a curse laid on the dead High Priest Imhotep. ‘Mummy’ is awake now, and it will take far more than weapons to bring him back to where he came from.
