“Woongnami,” directed by Park Sung-kwang, is based on the Dangun myth, where bears transform into humans after consuming garlic and mugwort. The narrative follows the tale of twin Asiatic Bear brothers, previously under the care of the Pro-North Korean Institute of Technology. Following an incident where the bears consume mugwort and garlic, they vanish without a trace. The film unfolds their mysterious disappearance and potentially their journey from bears to human forms, interwoven with elements from the mythical folklore of Dangun.
