The Sympathizer
Set during the final days of the Vietnam War, The Sympathizer follows the journey of a communist spy who has infiltrated the South Vietnamese army. As the war collapses, he flees to the United States, settling within a Vietnamese refugee community in California. However, even in exile, his mission continues—he secretly reports back to the Viet Cong, living a dangerous double life. As he navigates his new world, the protagonist struggles with his divided loyalties, identity, and the moral consequences of his actions.
