Duan Nago Bogho (2023), directed by Sabri Yunus, follows the journey of Duan, a dedicated Mak Yong artist, who moves from his village to Kuala Lumpur after a brawl compels his parents to insist on a fresh start in the city. Though he picks up various part-time jobs, his passion for the traditional art of Mak Yong remains unwavering. In Kuala Lumpur, Duan encounters unexpected danger when he attempts to save a kidnapped girl caught in a revenge-fueled feud. The criminal gang seeks retribution, blaming her for the death sentence given to their leader’s brother, who murdered her boyfriend.
