When experienced cop Daryl Ward teams up with a rookie cop and first Orc to join the force, Nick Jacoby, in an alternative version of contemporary Los Angeles where fantasy creatures such as Orcs, Elves, and Fairies coexist with the human race, an already fragile balance between species is challenged. When a regular night patrol soon leads to a cryptic female Elf, Tikka, and a legendary artifact, all races would kill to have it in their possession, things will take a turn for the worse. Only a Bright is said to be capable of wielding the strong relic; however, will Daryl and Nick keep it safe while everyone in the city is after it?
