The story follows a humble innkeeper who decides somewhat impulsively somewhat stubbornly to embark on a 700 kilometer bike journey from his small town all the way to Rome. His goal is simple yet heartfelt: to deliver a bunle of local eco friendly products directly to Pope Francis inspired by the Pope’s encyclical Laudato si’ which calls for deeper care for the Earth and its most fragile communities. What begins as a personal mission quickly turns into something bigger. Pedaling through villages farmland coastal roads, and quiet countryside paths, the innkeeper encounters people who remind him why he fell in love with his work in the first place. Farmers preserving ancient seeds, families running small sustainable businesses elders who share stores of how the land has changed across generations each meeting deepens his understanding of environmental stewardship and the collective responsibility shared by ordinary people. The journey also forces him to confront his own doubts physical exhaustion, and the lingering wounds he has been avoiding back home.
