The Dam directed by Alexey Taranenko is a terrifying blend of action sci fi, and survival horror set against the backdrop of war. The film follows a detachment of Ukrainian soldiers who during a mission in a drained reservoir, stumble upon a massive, highly classified Soviet-era research bunker. Descending into the dark and decaying facility they soon uncover the horrifying truth during the Cold War the USSR conducted brutal experiment on humans within its walls. Worse still the bunker is far from abandoned. The gruesome results of these experiments remain, transforming the facility into a deadly trap swarming with the undead remains of Soviet soldiers. Forced to fight a terrifying new enemy the squad must conquer their own fear learn to trust one another and battle their way through the relentles zombie horde to survive and ensure the evil never escapes the dam’s dark legacy.
