AHS’ eighth season felt extremely promising — a mixture of Murder House and Coven, two of the show’s most beloved seasons. It also promised to deliver lower back past cast individuals like Jessica Lange and Taissa Farmiga. However, Apocalypse proved to be very underwhelming — it lacked a cohesive plot, and every episode was regarded to get much less fascinating as the season went on. Apocalypse relied on pure nostalgia for previous seasons to raise the exhibit as a substitute for growing a new and surprising storyline.
