The Japanese animated science fiction action film is directed by Hideaki Anno, Mahiro Maeda, Kazuya Tsurumaki, and Masayuki. The movie is based on Hideaki Anno’s manga series. The movie features the voices of Megumi Ogata, Megumi Hayashibara, Yuko Miyamura, Maaya Sakamoto, Akira Ishida, and Kotono Mitsuishi.
Shinji awakes fourteen years later on a ruined Earth and sees people turning against him. He is trapped in the cycle of birth and rebirth and has to battle the angels with the world going towards destruction.
