The Japanese anime war drama film is directed by Mori Masaki. The movie is based on Keji Nakazawa’s manga by the same name. The movie features the voices of Masaki Koda, Wendee Lee, Takeshi Aono, Barbara Goodson, Kirk Thorton, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, Tatsuya Jo, Katsuji Mori, and Iona Morris.
Gen Nakaoka and his family live in Hiroshima during the final days of World War II. The city is attacked by the atomic bomb and is devastated completely. The movie takes the audience to the aftermath of the attack on the people living in Hiroshima.
