The Japanese animated drama film is directed by Goro Miyazaki. The movie is based on ‘Kouriko-zaka kara by Chizuru Takahashi Tetsuro Sayama. The movie features the voices of Masami Nagasawa, Junichi Okada, Keiko Takeshita, Yuiko Ishida, Jun Fubuki, Takashi Naito, Shunsuke Kazama, Neo Omori, and Teruyuki Kagawa.
Japan is 1963 is rebuilding itself after the horrors of the second world war and the eventual nuclear attack on the country. The movie shows the coming of the bright future of the Japanese citizens as they prepare for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
