In A Difficult Year, Albert and Bruno, two over-indebted friends on the verge of losing everything, find themselves unexpectedly drawn into a group of young environmental activists. Initially, they’re more interested in the free food and drinks than in the cause itself. However, as they attempt to exploit the situation for personal gain, they soon realize that their involvement in the activist group might lead them to a deeper understanding of their lives and the world around them. This heartwarming and humorous film explores themes of personal growth, social responsibility, and unlikely friendships.
