Synopsis:
In “A Hipster in Rural Spain,” directed by Emilio Martínez Lázaro, Quique, a modern hipster, is dispatched to the remote village of Teruel in deep Spain to lead a political recuperation effort. However, he soon discovers an ulterior motive behind his assignment: his girlfriend, who is also the leader of his political party, has sent him away to spend more time with another man. As Quique navigates the challenges of rural life and political responsibilities, he must also confront personal betrayal and find his own path in an unfamiliar and rustic setting. The film weaves together themes of love, politics, and self-discovery with humor and poignancy.
