Three intertwined stories set in Mexico City’s multiple socioeconomic strata all culminate in a fatal car crash. Octavio plans to enter his dog Cofi into the world of dogfighting in order to collect enough money to run away with his sister-in-law. Octavio flees in his vehicle after a dogfight goes wrong, hitting a red light and triggering the crash. Valeria’s newfound happiness is cut short when she loses her leg in a car crash. El Chivo, a homeless man who looks after stray dogs, is on the scene to witness the crash.
