The American drama is directed by Lasse Hallstrom and is based on Mark Spragg’s book by the same name. The movie features Robert Redford, Jennifer Lopez, Morgan Freeman, Josh Lucas, Camryn Manheim, Damian Lewis, and Becca Gardner.
The movie is the story of a bond that develops between a man and his daughter-in-law that starts with misconceptions and ends in healing. Einar has been recovering from alcohol abuse and lives with his loyal friend Mitch. One day, his daughter-in-law Jeans pays him an unexpected visit along with her daughter Griff. Einar holds a grudge against Jean because he thinks that she is responsible for his son’s accidental death. Later on, he learns that Jean herself is disturbed and is trapped in a violent relationship.
