Woody Allen portrays a neurotic, usually insecure, and indecisive comedy creator who falls head over heels in love with a naive small-town lady who aspires to be a singer. The opening rounds of their relationship encompass and every romantic cliche. Despite moved in together, his insecurities get the great of him as he interprets her every move as rejection.
