The reason the US has never returned to the moon is revealed in newly discovered footage from NASA’s abandoned Apollo 18 mission, in which three American astronauts were dispatched on a covert assignment. Apollo 17 was the last US-sponsored lunar mission, or was it? Hours of newly discovered footage, previously classified for decades, lead to a second lunar trip, Apollo 18, that went horribly wrong. On a mission to install radar scanners, astronauts John Grey (Ryan Robbins), Nathan Walker (Lloyd Owen), and Benjamin Anderson (Warren Christie) discover a Soviet space craft nearby. The men also come across a dead cosmonaut, and learn how he died, which is awful for them.
