The romantic war drama film is based on Ian McEwan’s novel by the same name. The movie is directed by Joe Wright and features James McAvoy, Keira Knightley, Saoirse Ronan, Romola Garai, Vanessa Redgrave.
A young couple Cecilia Tallis and Robbie Turner are separated and torn apart by a lie contrasted by Cecilia’s jealous younger sister Briony. All three of them face the consequences in a greater way in their future. Robbie is imprisoned because of Briony’s lies but when Robbie and Cecilia meet during World War II, it’s way too late. Briony on the other hand lives in regret for parting both the lovers and destroying their life.
