Bait is an impassive action comedy with a little Hitchcock, a little Bond, and many postures. It’s humorous and clever, the disquiet between Jamie Foxx’s trash-talking purloiner and David Morse’s monomaniacal intestine agent. Levee in impoundment for a petty theft crime. Alvin finds himself partaking in a cellphone with John Jaster, the imprisoned of the duo of high-tech purloiners responsible for the missing gold.
Alvin desires solely to get out of the correctional complex and start clean with his inamorata, Lisa, and when the Feds, led through the way of U.S. Treasury investigator Clenteen, set him free on a sketchy deal, he thinks his specific fortune has changed. Alvin has his freedom, and the Feds have determined their bait.
