Rose travels to the remote island of Bornholm to attend the farewell reception of one of Mørck’s former police colleagues. However, the gathering takes a dark turn when the colleague suddenly shoots himself. This shocking event triggers a deep dive into Rose’s traumatic past. As Mørck, Assad, and Rose investigate further, they become entangled in a complex and emotionally charged case that had previously been closed, forcing them to confront long-buried secrets and unravel a web of hidden truths.
