Mike Milo is a one-time rodeo wide-spread man and washed-up horse breeder who takes a job from an ex-boss to furnish the man’s younger son home from Mexico. Forced to take the backroads on their way to Texas, the pair faces an abruptly challenging journey. Weary horseman finds unexpected connections and his intimate feel of redemption.
He retreated to breed and educate horses, a job he receives fired from in the opening. Bizarrely after letting him go, his former boss hires him to head to Mexico to increase his troubled 13-year-old son Rafo’s decrease again from his mother. Milo agrees, and after discovering the toddler in the center of a cockfight, he starts the experience home with a range of potholes on the way.
