Joel is taken aback when he learns that his girlfriend Clementine’s memories of their turbulent relationship have been deleted. He hires Dr. Howard Mierzwaik, the process’s inventor, out of desperation to have Clementine wiped from his mind. However, as Joel’s memories fade, he starts to rediscover their earlier passion. Joel tries to elude the treatment from deep inside the recesses of his mind. It’s clear that Joel can’t get her out of his mind as Dr. Mierzwiak and his team pursue him into the labyrinth of his memories.
