Synopsis:
In July 1895, the New York elite have gathered in Newport, Rhode Island, for a summer filled with balls, garden parties, and yacht races. Among them is Emma Vanderbilt-Cross, a fearless twenty-one-year-old writer with family ties to the wealthy Vanderbilt family. As she covers these events for the women’s pages of the Newport Observer, Emma finds herself embroiled in a murder mystery at the opulent Breakers mansion.
