The Guardians of the Galaxy became renowned in 2014. In exchange for Gamora’s alienated sister Nebula, who was discovered attempting to steal the batteries, Ayesha, the head of the Sovereign race, has the Guardians protect crucial batteries from a between-dimensional beast. After Rocket takes some for himself, the Sovereign assaults the Guardians’ boat with an armada of robots. These are annihilated by a strange figure, and the Guardians crash-land on a close-by planet. This man reveals himself to be Quill’s father, Ego, who greets Quill, Gamora, and Drax on his home planet. Rocket and Groot remain behind to repair the boat and Nebula, the gatekeeper.
