The American drama film is directed by Liza Johnson and is based on Alice Munro’s book ‘Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Mariage’. The movie features Kristen Wiig, Hailee Steinfeld, Guy Pearce, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.
Johanna Parry is a shy young girl, who gets the job as a caretaker for Mr. McCauley’s house and lives with his granddaughter, Sabitha. Johnna learns that Sabitha’s mother died several years ago and her father, Ken lives in Chicago away from the family. After a meeting with her father, Johnna and Ken starts exchanging letters. But the relationship that seems to have started between Johnna and Ken is built on a fake identity.
