The movie is based on the most infamous scandals of all times that happened in the history of sports. Tonya Harding was raised by her abusive stepmother was forced to practice skating since the age of four. Later on, she goes on to become one the most-successful skater in the world, but her sporting career comes crashing when her ex-husband tries sabotaging her image by injuring a fellow skater competing for the Olympics.
