The biographical sports drama film is directed by Clint Eastwood and is based on John Carlin’s book ‘Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Made a Nation’. The movie features Matt Damon, Tony Kgoroge, Adjoa Andoh, Marguerite Wheatley, and Morgan Freeman.
Nelson Mandela becomes the President of South Africa after serving a twenty-seven-year imprisonment. He now has the herculean task of unifying the country that is divided after the end of Apartheid. He sees the blacks cheering against the South African rugby team during a match. The story is about the unification and making of a new state after the end of Apartheid.
