In “Latency,” Hana is a professional gamer whose acute agoraphobia keeps her confined to her home. Her life revolves around the digital worlds she masters, but her isolation is profound. Everything changes when she receives cutting-edge gaming equipment designed to enhance her experience. Initially thrilled by the immersive technology, Hana soon begins to notice that the game seems to be reading her mind—or even controlling it. As the lines between reality and virtual reality blur, Hana’s struggle to distinguish between what is real and what is programmed intensifies. With her mind under siege and paranoia growing, she must confront her deepest fears to uncover the truth behind the equipment and its creators. “Latency” delves into themes of isolation, control, and the potentially dangerous intersections of technology and the human mind.
