Summary:
In a small kampong in Kuala Selangor, 7-year-old Kit, a deaf girl, struggles to connect with the world around her. While her hearing parents grapple with financial difficulties—her father working as a boatman for firefly tours—Kit retreats into nature, hesitant to communicate with others. Her mother pushes her to learn sign language and attend school, but Kit finds solace in the quiet beauty of her surroundings. Everything changes when she encounters a special firefly that seems to communicate with her through its blinking and movements, opening the door to a newfound sense of connection and wonder.
