The American drama film is written and directed by Kenneth Lonergan. The movie features Casey Affleck, Michele Williams, Kyle Chandler, and Lucas Hedges.
The death of his older brother Joe leaves Lee Chandler devastated, as now he is not lonely but also has the responsibility of his nephew Patrick. Taking leave from his job as a janitor in Boston he goes to Manchester-by-the-Sea the fishing village where he was raised. There he reflects on his life and the circumstance that led to his separation of him from his wife.
