The internationally co-produced drama film is directed by Billie August. The movie is based on Pascal Mercier’s 2004 novel by the same name. The movie features Jeremy Iron, Melanie Laurent, Jack Huston, Martina Gedeck, Charlotte, Bruno Ganz, Lena Olin, Christopher Lee, and Tom Courtenay.
Raimund Gregorius a Swiss professor while walking on by the bridge notices a woman with a red coat about to leap. He runs to save her life and the woman leaves him with her coat. He checks into the pocket for identification and finds a book stamped with the address of a bookstore where he often goes to buy books. He starts missing his classes to go to the bookstore to find the woman.
