Pig Hill directed by Kevin Lewis, follows Carrie, a woman long obsessed with the chilling local legend of the “pig people” grotesque hidden creatures said to breed in the woods and terrorize the surrounding community. What has always existed on the border between folklore and fear becomes disturbingly real when the tenth woman in the area goes missing. As the disappearances mount Carrie’s curiosity hardens into dread yet she is unable to look away. Drawn deeper into the mystery, she begins to uncover unsettling links between the legend, the land and the victims. The film builds a suffocating atmosphere of rural horror, where myth bleeds into reality and every shadow suggets that the stories people whisper to scare children may be far more than just tales.
