The romantic drama is based on Richard Yeates’s 1961 book by the same name. The movie is directed by Sam Mendes and features Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Michael Shannon, Kathryn Hahn, David Harbour, and Kathy Bates.
Frank and April Wheeler get married when they get to know that April is pregnant. Frank gets a job in a sales position and toils at a job that he hates. April on the other hand had to suppress her dreams of becoming an actress and look after the house as a housewife. To change their mundane lives the couple plans to go to Paris and a new life there, but their situation and the fading love don’t allow them to leave the place. They continue with the same life till April decided to do something really grave.
