Five years after Kyra’s demise, Riddick has gotten progressively uncomfortable in his job as Lord Marshal of the Necromonger armada. His refusal to swear into the Necromonger confidence has caused disagreement among his subjects and death endeavors by his subordinates. After the most recent endeavor on his life, Riddick hits an arrangement with Commander Vaako: the area of Furya and a boat to take him there, in return for Vaako succeeding him as the following Lord Marshal, so he can accomplish what he calls amazing quality. Driven by Vaako’s assistant, Krone, Riddick and a gathering of Necromongers show up on a ruined planet. Understanding that it’s anything but Furya, Riddick kills a large portion of his escort when they endeavor to kill him. In the bedlam, Krone causes an avalanche and covers Riddick alive.
