When Blu, a baby blue macaw from Brazil, was kidnapped by dealers and transported to the United States, a young girl named Linda vowed to look for him until they were both adults. Blu never learned to fly because he lived with Linda since he was a child. When an ornithologist called Tulio discovers Blu and informs Linda that he is the last male of his species, Tulio decides to bring Blu back to Brazil to procreate with Jewel, a female macaw. But, later that night, Blu and Jewel were kidnapped again, and Blu now has to find his way back to Linda while learning to fly with Jewel and Rafael, a toucan.
