Two police detectives, Somerset, who is about to retire, and Mills, who has just been assigned to the precinct, investigate the murder of an obese man. The word “Gluttony” was written on his wall. Then they are alerted to the assassination of a prosecutor. The word “Greed” was written on his floor. Somerset believes that the murders were the work of the same man, a man who had committed the seven deadly sins by killing people.
