Shiranai Kanojo directed by Takahiro Miki tells a poignant story about love, regret, and alternate realities. The film follows Riku and Minami, college sweethearts who eventually marry while pursuing their dreams. Riku becomes a successful novelist, while Minami gradually sets aside her aspirations of becoming a singer to support their life together. However, tensions rise as unfulfilled dreams and frustrations lead to a serious argument betwen them. After the conflict Minami mysteriously disappears from Riku’s life. When he wakes up, he finds himself living in a completely different reality where he is no longer a famous writer but an ordinary book editor. In this altered world, Minami exists as a rising singer named Minami Maezono yet she has no connection with him and they have never met. As Riku struggles to understand this strange new reality, he begins searching for answers and a way to reconnect with the woman he once loved.
