Joe Gardner is a middle school teacher who loves jazz music. He suddenly finds himself in an accident that separates his soul from his body and takes him to the You Seminar, a center where souls develop and gain passions before being transported to a newborn child. Joe must enlist the help of the other souls-in-training, like 22, the soul who spent eons at the You Seminar to get back to Earth.
