On Tatooine, Luke Skywalker lives with his aunt and uncle on a farm. He is desperate to leave this world and join his mates at the Academy, but his uncle needs him for the next harvest. Meanwhile, an evil tyrant has taken control of the cosmos and built a powerful “Death Star” capable of annihilating entire worlds. Princess Leia, a resistance leader, obtains Death Star plans, positions them in R2-D2, a droid, and dispatches him to locate Obi-wan Kenobi. R2-D2 and his buddy C-3PO end up on the Skywalkers’ farm before he can locate him. R2-D2 then wanders off into the desert, where he meets up with Luke, who leads them to Obi-wan.
