Rudolf Franz Ferdinand Höss, who oversaw the Auschwitz concentration camp for the greatest period of time, is being held in a Polish prison while he awaits trial in 1946. Höss is to be interrogated by Albert, a successful young Polish inquiry judge, in order to get a faultless confession from him. The two men’s interaction will reveal the horrifying regularity and normalisation of evil that occurred in the camp. Rudolf Höss implemented the most effective method of mass murder ever known at Auschwitz by using Zyklon B, which resulted in the deaths of roughly 1.1 million people. The memoirs Höss penned prior to his execution are the basis for the movie.
