Tom, a WWI veteran lives with his wife Isabel and maintains a lighthouse offshore Australia. Isabel is desperate to have a baby and one-day hr wishes are answered when a baby girl comes washing off the shore. Tom first protests to notify the authorities but then gives up on his wife’s wishes. The couple’s life changes when they meet the girl’s biological mother.
