The movie is based on Alice Sebold’s 2002 novel by the same name. The movie is co-written and directed by Peter Jackson and features Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weiz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli, and Saoirse Ronan.
Susie Salmon a fourteen-year-old girl wanted to become a photographer. But one day she was brutally murdered by a neighbor and left her body in a safe. After her death, she finds herself in the ‘in-between a place that is between the earth and heaven and sees her grieving family and her murderer from heaven. The thirst for revenge is burning in her soul and she decides to take revenge on her murderer.
