Giovanna is brought before the Inquisition. Following the blasphemy charge, he proceeds to pray in ecstasy. A friar believes Giovanna is a saint, but the soldiers kidnap her. Giovanna is comforted when she notices a cross in the darkness. She is condemned to torment because she is not considered a daughter of God, but rather a daughter of the devil. Giovanna D’Arco claims that she would not deny anything even though she dies. In front of the torture wheel, the eyes are distorted with fear and they pass out. Giovanna is escorted to a bed where she is bleeding profusely. Giovanna believes she is about to die and requests to be buried in a holy place. As devoted ladies weep, Giovanna is burned at the stake.
