A party of apparently insane Norwegians chasing and shooting a dog is disrupted by an American scientific expedition to the frozen wastes of the Antarctic. The helicopter chasing the dog crashes, leaving no reason for the chase finally. The dog mutates during the night and threatens other dogs in the cage and the members of the investigation team. The team soon learns that an alien life-form is on the loose with the capacity to take over other bodies and they don’t know who might have been taken over already.
