Trial By Fire aspires to be different. Cameron Todd Willingham, a ‘white trash’ Texan, and his wife, Stacy, are the central characters in the film. Todd was found guilty of murder after setting fire to his own home while his three young children slept. The film, directed by Edward Zwick, begins with a deadly fire, and Todd’s anger appears to be reflected in the fire that consumes his family.
