The chief of the Viking settlement of Flake, Halvar, sends his cunning, little son Wickie to loot a knight’s caravan. The warriors must seize control but fail to notice Wickie being kidnapped along with a shipment of Eskimo captives carrying a mystery text on the eternal ice castle containing the Norse gods’ treasure. Wickie flees, and the thief who refuses to assist him joins him as a stowaway. Wickie completes the text, but the men are drugged and Halvar is kidnapped before they can depart. Wickie is now the chieftaincy by customary law, and he needs to mature on the job in numerous ways.
