The film even starts with Scott’s quest for Jen, and it gives the story a profundity that makes it particularly difficult and awful—everybody here is a relative, somebody’s cherished one. Also, supposedly on, McElroy scripts a frequently close yet long game with select pieces like Scott, and local people back around who beat him up when he poses such a large number of inquiries. Simultaneously, “Wrong Turn” demonstrates sharpness at making a solid feeling of characters being ill-fated, yet giving them a promising sign in the event that they can beat the following frightful danger before them.
