Sanjuro Kuwabatake is a samurai without a master, drifting aimlessly around the world. He arrives in a small village governed by two lords: Seibei, a silk maker, and Ushitora, a sake producer. Both of them dabble in gambling and rely on fugitive gangsters to keep their operations secure. there were a lot of odds between them. Sanjuro offers his bodyguard services to both of them and waits for the best deal.
